As part of the Manchester Histories Festival, the Whitworth Park Archaeology and History Project ran a hands-on session at the Dental Hospital on 6th February 2012. Images of the Park in its heyday, as well as some of our *star* finds were on show, to both outpatients and staff of the hospital. Over 40 people attended our stall, including many staff who routinely use the Park for relaxation, during their busy working day. We hope we have contributed to a wider appreciation of its importance as a restful and rewarding place to visit, in all seasons, with a long history of use by staff and patients of the many hospitals nearby. Indeed, one of the major finds which have emerged during the post-excavation phase of our dig are small glass bottles which may well represent vials of medicine, from patients taking the air in the Park, during prolonged stays in hospital.
